The open-air cultural series from August 6 to 16, 2026, featuring theater, concerts, and film screenings on balmy summer evenings in Halle (Saale). With cool drinks, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere, the event features live music across a wide range of genres—from indie to Latin American dance music, pop, rock, and Schlager—performed by bands from Halle and all over Central Germany. Harz Monastery Summer 2026

From June through September, the 18th Harz Monastery Summer, under the theme “Simply Heavenly!”, invites visitors to the monasteries of Wöltingerode, Drübeck, Michaelstein, Brunshausen, and Walkenried. Culture, spirituality, architecture, music, and cuisine come together to create special summer experiences. The festival opens on June 19, 2026, at Michaelstein Monastery.

Bike Tour Along the Prince Franz Garden Route

The signposted bike route around Dessau-Roßlau connects the palaces and parks in the UNESCO Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz and the UNESCO Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve; it was named after its creator, Prince Leopold III Friedrich Franz of Anhalt-Dessau. The route passes all seven castles and parks of the Garden Kingdom: Georguim Castle and Park, Großkühnau, Mosigkau, Oranienbaum, Wörlitz, Luisium, and the Sieglitzer Berg Forest Park.

Schönebeck Operetta Summer 2026

The 2026 Schönebeck Operetta Summer once again invites you to enjoy musical summer evenings at the idyllic open-air stage on Bierer Berg. Under the theme “Wiener Blut,” the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck will present one of Johann Strauss Jr.’s most famous operetta classics. For many years, this time-honored event series has combined first-class music, humorous entertainment, and a unique open-air atmosphere in the heart of the Bierer Berg Zoo. The premiere of the 28th Schönebeck Operetta Summer will take place on June 27, 2026, with additional performances following through the end of July.
