- At the door of the castle church in Wittenberg, Martin Luther posted his 95 theses in 1517. Today, the graves of Luther and Melanchthon can be visited inside the church.
- In the Wittenberg Cranach Houses the Cranach Foundation exhibits the rich work of the famous family of painters in a historic setting
